BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

There is freedom waiting for you

On the breezes of the sky,

And you ask, “What if I fall?”

Oh, but my darling,

What if you fly?

WELCOME SILENCE

We have this immense interior life within us. We can call it the life of the soul. Poets and mystics and people have been trying to figure out what to call this for a long time. But there is an inner silence in it. And there is an incredible mystery floating in it. This is where the divine lives in us.  Sue Monk Kidd

Witnessing the sun’s early rise above Mount Baker always brings a smile to my face.

Standing in silent appreciation, I quietly welcome the dawn of a new day.

What is one small step you can take today to welcome silence

Favorite Sun Tea Recipe

I grew up drinking gallons of my mom’s favorite iced tea recipe: Lipton’s black tea, orange juice and fresh mint. Not once did it fail to quench our thirst from the hot Southern California sun!

Years later, a dear friend introduced me to Sun Tea made with Good Earth Tea, the original sweet and spicy formula, and its been my favorite for more than thirty years:)

Sipping Sun Tea always makes me happy, and this week I discovered my new favorite, Numi’s Organic Moroccan Mint Tea

Here is your 3 Step formula for making Numi’s Organic Moroccan Mint Sun Tea

1 – choose a favorite container

2 – fill with your favorite water

3- add one or more tea bags

Let brew for a few hours in the sun, on a counter top or even in your refrigerator.

Place in a thermos and sip throughout the day.

Works great to make the night before so it’s ready to go…enjoy!

My Favorite Energy Bars Recipe

MY FAVORITE ENERGY BARS

Designing a yummy ENERGY BAR has been a fun project, and I’ve created a recipe that is equally nutritious and delicious. See what you think?

In a large mixing bowl combine the following ingredients:

2 cups quick oats

1/4 cup Nutiva Coconut Oil, melted

1/2 cup Nutiva Coconut Sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup Coconut/Almond milk

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup raisins

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp sea salt

Add 1/4 cup each:

Nutiva hemp seed, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, unsweetened coconut flakes

BLEND all together well.

Spread the batter into a prepared 9″ square baking pan

BAKE for 30 minutes at 350

PERSONAL NOTES:

Grease the pan with Nutiva coconut oil before assembling ingredients

Double the recipe because it’s so good plus it freezes and travels well

Enjoy!

HARMONY HEALS

True joy comes from a profound harmony among people, something that we feel in our hearts and that lets us experience the beauty of togetherness, of mutual support along life’s journey. Pope Francis from his book Happiness in This Life

3+ Superfood Pudding Recipe

3+ Superfood Pudding

I love celebrating, savoring tea and spoiling my private clients with organic superfood snacks when we meet around my dining room table in the afternoons.

This week I decided to create a Nutiva Chia Seed Pudding that’s equally delicious, nutritious and easy to make:)

Step 1:

Choose your favorite container (old Ball jars work beautifully)

Choose a favorite spoon (adore using antique silver soup spoons)

Step 2:

Add 2 or 3 spoonfuls of Nutiva Chia Seeds and Goji Berries to your jar

Add your favorite nut milk like a blend of unsweetened almond & coconut milk

Screw the lid on, shake and dance around the kitchen. Smiling yet? Good!

Place the jar in your refrigerator and allow it to set for several hours or make it the night before

Step 3:

Serve with your favorite toppings like: Nutiva Organic Hempseeds, shredded coconut, crunchy pumpkin seeds, chopped nuts, cacao nibs or seasonal fresh fruit

If you’re in the mood for sweet add a dash of maple syrup, Nutiva coconut sugar or local honey

And finally, before you take that first bite, let’s give thanks to mother earth, the growers, harvesters and all the hands working together around the world that help bring organic Superfoods to your table.

Bon appetit

2017 All Star Award Winner from Constant Contact

We were just named a Constant Contact All Star for 2017!

Five years ago I started sharing Monday Morning Musings, and remember being so nervous Sunday evenings that I rarely slept.

In my Qigong classes, we pick a card or 2 for inspiration and share so I decided to pick a card or 2 for everyone on my mailing list and pair it with a soothing image offering support for the week.

After a few months, I began inviting local islanders, dear friends and eventually my family to join in the fun.

Within my industry’s niche, 6.9% of recipients actually open and read email sent to them compared to our 70%! Isn’t that exciting?

Thank you for saying YES!!
